Last year I began learning to fly. I am working towards my private pilot’s licence and as well as the significant amount of flying time required to qualify, there has been a fair amount of studying and exams to pass. This has inevitably meant that something else had to give and as a result there has not been time for much community work around Unsworth and Whitefield.
Community campaigning has taken a back seat for a while, whilst I concentrate on the remainder of qualification requirements for my PPL (private pilot’s licence).
On 31st August this year, I flew solo for the first time. It was a fantastic feeling and something I doubt I’ll ever forget.
A big thanks to the instructors at Mainair Flying School and all the staff at City Airport & Heliport Manchester (Barton) for all their help in getting me this far.
