Just a quick update following the road traffic collision on Parr Lane outside the Co-op store last Sunday. Twitter user @homecouture1 who is a local resident has been in contact with Co-op and Greater Manchester Police and has reported that the Co-op store has agreed there will be no more deliveries to the front of the store. I spoke briefly with staff in the store today and am glad to report that the Warburtons delivery driver was uninjured in the incident, as he was standing just next to his lorry when the car hit.
I have a letter for the Co-op store’s Manager and will be dropping it off, so hope to get an official confirmation from Co-op that they will indeed not permit any more deliveries to the front of their store. I did try contacting Co-op over Twitter for an immediate confirmation, but as yet they have not replied.
I’ll update again when I have confirmation that there will be no more deliveries to the front of the Co-op on Parr Lane.
